Maricar Cabral brings over 25 years of nursing experience and a vast amount of knowledge when dealing with general pediatric care and the critically ill child. Maricar started her career at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles before coming to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in 1997. She has experience working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatric Emergency Department, and is the go-to-girl when a pediatric cardiac patient arrives in the ED for care. Maricar currently serves as a Co-chair for the JDCH Clinical Ladder Committee and Emergency Department Code Committee and is a Program Manager for PEPP and PALS courses. Maricar was recently awarded the 2015 First There First Care Nurse Excellence Award and is excited about her latest endeavor: actress and screenwriter! Watch out for her TV debut on the Learning Channel’s series: Untold Stories of the ER.
